Epoxy resin rottenwood
In order to preserve wooden floors, tables, and furniture, you should paint on a fresh coat of epoxy wood finish. Wood can be extremely fragile, and can become damaged from termites, water, and mold. Follow the steps mentioned above for finishing and color matching the epoxy repair. 1/32 Milled Fibers add strength and thickness to the epoxy as well as making the epoxy easier to sand once it has solidified. Once the thin sealer layer has cured you can use a filled epoxy to fill in the rest of the space. Use a fungicide to kill any remaining dry rot and let the area thoroughly dry before painting in a thin layer of epoxy. If you have dry rot that needs to be fixed start by removing the dry spongy wood as much as possible with out disrupting the integrity of the structure. Once you’ve filled in the cracks with wood epoxy, you can use a gel stain or paint to make it blend in with the rest of your wooden piece. You can also thicken the epoxy to a paste consistency with our Pecan Flour to make a wood replacement. Just make sure you tape or block the backside to ensure the epoxy doesn’t run through. To do this, all you have to do is fill the crack, knot, or chip with the epoxy. Wood epoxy is adhesive, it binds very well to wood, which allows it to fill in the cracks. For example, say part of a chair’s leg got chipped and you don’t want to buy a brand new one, you can use wood repair epoxy to fix the chip. You can also use epoxy to repair wood as well.
